| The Breve Duo strives to help you
create the ceremony you want. For this reason
a
wedding consultation is included in the ceremony price. At the
consultation we play excerpts of music from our repertoire, we discuss
the details of your ceremony, and then together choose the pieces for
your wedding ceremony that you like best. Wedding
consultations typically last for one hour, and a deposit of $300 is due
at that time to reserve your wedding date. See our Listen page for sample sound clips of wedding ceremony music. A short wedding music sample CD is also available upon request. Please contact us regarding our availability, specific pricing for your wedding ceremony, and to schedule an appointment for your free wedding consultation. For a general idea about cost, please see our Pricing page for ceremony and hourly rates.

Music for a
typical wedding ceremony includes... Prelude ~ We perform approximately 20 minutes of music while the guests are being seated. This typically soft and romantic background music, combines with the location and flowers to set the desired mood for the occasion. Processional ~ Music performed while the members of the wedding party and the bride walk down the isle. Some couples choose to have more than one processional piece, especially if the wedding party is large, with a separate processional for the bride. We also perform special selections for the seating of mothers and grandmothers upon request. Processionals are calm pieces performed at a gentle walking tempo. The Ceremony ~ Interludes of music can be requested for moments during the ceremony itself such as: communion, signing of the family bible, or lighting the unity candle, etc. Recessional ~ The music performed while the bride & groom and members of the wedding party recess back down the isle. This music is typically a piece that is faster in tempo with a joyful and jubilant character. Postlude ~ 5-10 minutes of joyful music performed immediately after the recessional while the guests exit. |
